Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a new Head of Portfolio & Delivery to join our ambitious and innovative Tech team. Reporting into our Technology & Transformation Director, you are responsible for Business Analysis and our BAs, working with our offshore Engineering team and ensuring that there is a clear link between requirements and project business case. Responsible for timely delivery of approved initiatives, the Head of Portfolio & Delivery will put the right delivery methodologies, tracking and reporting on delivery progress, removing blockers and supporting the team and suppliers where necessary. They will work closely with the Head of Technology Service and Solutions who will provide the hands‑on coaching and management of engineering partners to support the outcomes driven by the Head of Portfolio & Delivery.
Your daily to‑dos might look like this:
- Act as the single point of coordination for capturing and managing system change requests across the organisation.
- Manage our Senior Business Analyst & Deliver Managers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and Technology colleagues to understand and shape new requests, ensuring clarity and alignment, fostering strong relationships and mutual understanding.
- Facilitate the prioritisation of conflicting demands, balancing business value, urgency, and resource availability.
- Ensure all backlog requests are properly articulated with clear value propositions and business outcomes.
- Communicate the importance and impact of initiatives to stakeholders and Tech team members, fostering alignment and buy‑in.
- Ensure that the Engineering team has all necessary information, including detailed requirements and context, to progress work efficiently.
- Capture, broker, and follow‑up on agreed delivery deadlines to ensure commitments are met.
- Track and report on the progress of initiatives, providing visibility to stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain delivery roadmaps, monitor and measure progress against them.
- Facilitate workshops or discussions to resolve ambiguities, clarify requirements, and align expectations, unblocking issues for the team to facilitate delivery.
- Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks or conflicts, ensuring smooth delivery.
