We're working with a highly respected professional services firm that is investing heavily in its Office of the CFO offering. As the team continues to grow, they're looking to appoint a Senior Manager who can lead client relationships, develop people and play a key role in the future success of the Manchester office. This is far more than a traditional accounts role. As a Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, leading the delivery of high-quality financial reporting while providing commercially focused advice that adds real value. - Supporting clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial planning.
- Overseeing audit liaison and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Leading, mentoring and developing Managers, Assistant Managers and junior team members.
- Supporting businesses as they transition into outsourced finance and Office of the CFO services.
- Identifying opportunities to broaden client relationships and introduce additional advisory services.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver joined-up solutions.
- Helping shape the future direction and growth of the Office of the CFO team.
About you:
You'll be a qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to move into a more commercial, advisory-led role. You'll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- A background in practice within Business Services, Accounts or Advisory.
- Experience managing a client portfolio and building strong client relationships.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Previous experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
- A commercial mindset and genuine interest in helping businesses succeed.
- Experience within outsourced finance, CFO Services or advising SME and mid-market businesses would be beneficial but isn't essential.
Why join:
- Take on a genuine leadership role with autonomy and responsibility.
- Work directly with senior decision-makers and become a trusted adviser to your clients.
- Join a growing, ambitious team with significant investment and long-term plans.
- Enjoy clear progression towards Director level.
- Broaden your experience beyond traditional accounting into strategic finance and business advisory.
- Be part of a collaborative, supportive culture where your ideas and contribution are genuinely valued.
- Work with a varied client base across multiple sectors, ensuring no two days are the same.
If you're looking for a role that combines technical accounting, commercial advisory and people leadership and gives you the opportunity to make a real impact we'd love to hear from you.
