We're looking for a curious and collaborative privacy professional to join a busy in-house privacy function, helping to embed good data protection practice across a large, multi-site financial services group. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure — you'll be working with people across the business, from front-line staff to senior stakeholders, supporting them to handle personal data responsibly and in line with regulatory expectations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for data privacy queries, providing clear and practical guidance to colleagues across the business.
  • Supporting the handling of Data Subject Requests and privacy incidents, helping to ensure responses are timely, accurate and well-documented.
  • Building relationships across business functions to understand how personal data is used and where risks may arise.
  • Contributing to projects and initiatives that help develop and improve the privacy programme.
  • Helping to shape and communicate policies and processes in a way that lands well with different audiences.

What we're looking for:

  • Some grounding in data protection — whether through a formal role in a privacy or compliance team, or relevant exposure in an adjacent function.
  • A genuine interest in privacy as a discipline, with the curiosity to keep learning as regulation and best practice evolve.
  • Strong communication skills — you'll be explaining complex requirements to non-specialists, so the ability to translate and simplify is key.
  • A collaborative, approachable style; this role is relationship-heavy and you'll need to be comfortable engaging with a wide range of people.
  • Some experience supporting projects or process improvements would be a plus.
