From its inception, TAL set out to rewrite the narrative for young people living in one of the most deprived wards in the country through a unique and compelling culture of excellence.

Being a part of our TAL team means belonging to a high performing, supportive and mission aligned team. At TAL, we are championed to become experts in our field and to be reflective and skilful practitioners. Working at TAL means accessing world class CPD, collaborating and crafting a curriculum with subject experts and being supported by strong pastoral systems to translate this into strong and effective teaching.

TAL is a happy school where practitioners are passionate and excited about what they do and empowered to make a real difference to the lives of the young people they teach. We encourage you to visit us, explore us on our social media accounts or speak to our staff team to find out more about our very special school.

Our school is now in its fifth year and currently has 1,177 students on roll and is heavily oversubscribed for the following year. Our school is also part of a wider family of schools belonging to the Trinity Multi Academy Trust. TMAT is proud to have transformed the life chances of thousands of pupils across its existing academies, and our core values of Empathy, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility run through all aspects of academy life.

In line with our growth, we are now ready to recruit our next team members and as an existing staff team are excited to bring more passion, expertise, and talent on board. We are now looking to appoint a Sports and Culture Coach. This is a unique opportunity to join our academy’s staff team; an opportunity to help shape, design and grow a school ethos and community as it continues on its journey.

Our ideal candidate has played and continues to play sport regularly and has a contagious passion for helping young people find enjoyment and success through a range of sports. You must be positive, flexible and solution focused and happy to support fixtures and extended clubs/opportunities. You should be a strong pastoral presence around the academy and lead by example as a strong role model for our young people.

The successful candidate will be well supported through effective leadership and systems in a high performing MAT, an excellent CPD package, and the opportunity to progress as the school and the MAT continue to grow.

What we need:

  • At least 5 or more GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Experience of successfully working with young people in a sporting context.
  • Experience of successfully organising, participating or supporting with a range of different sports.
  • Strong inter-personal written, verbal and presentation skills.

What can we offer you?

  • The opportunity to work with a progressive and forward thinking Multi Academy Trust, where you are making a difference to the lives of hundreds of young people.
  • Opportunities for development and career progression.
  • Range of benefits including reduced cost health cover and access to the West Yorkshire Pension Fund.

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.
