TrinityBridge is looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to help support business development activities in the professional intermediary market and with private clients. The specific segments of the intermediary market include investment consultants, law firms, accountants and trustees (both onshore and offshore) as well as other businesses that have similar target clients to those of TrinityBridge. The role is primarily focused on driving new business into the Bespoke Investment Management teams at TrinityBridge, as well as the Advice business, but may span our wider investment range. This position will be predominantly home-based with some travel required to our offices and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping the Head of Business Development – Bespoke Investment Management (HBD) to deliver the Business Development team’s objectives and targets.
  • Supporting the HBD on the development and growth of productive, business generating relationships in the target market.
  • Help the HBD drive the ongoing contact strategy within the target market, including the distribution of TrinityBridge communications and attending events to support awareness of the brand and proposition.
  • Alongside the HBD, oversee and develop the preparation of TrinityBridge’s investment and Advice teams for presentations and pitches.
  • Identify and implement business development initiatives and added value services that can be delivered by the Business Development team to achieve the team’s objectives and targets.
  • Be able to convincingly articulate TrinityBridge’s investment and advice proposition to the target market, demonstrating clear and comprehensive understanding of wealth management.
  • Help to raise TrinityBridge’s brand profile and reputation in its target market and act as an ambassador to lead this effort.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships between the Business Development team and the TrinityBridge investment management and Advice teams nationally.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with other business areas including, but not limited to, the Investment Specialists team; Marketing; Finance; Compliance and Risk.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop and maintain suitable slides and collateral for promoting the TrinityBridge proposition within the target market.
  • Use and develop monitoring systems and controls in place to ensure ongoing, accurate and comprehensive management information for reporting.

Regulatory responsibilities

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business.
  • Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.
  • As a Certified Person under SMCR, you must accept responsibility and demonstrate an understanding for the regulatory aspects and framework of the FCA certification function(s) that you perform, and ensure you meet and abide by the rules of the FCA’s fit and proper test, and comply with the FCA’s Conduct Rules.
  • Additionally, you must ensure your compliance with all internal policies, procedures and standards.

About you – Qualifications, skills and strengths

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of investment consultants as well as trust companies (onshore and offshore), law firms and accountants.
  • Have a strong network of established intermediary relationships and a proven track record of developing and nurturing new intermediary relationships.
  • Strong organizational and presentational skills.
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High energy with good initiative and problem solving skills.
  • High levels of integrity and professionalism.
