Collaborating with senior stakeholders, Change and Technology teams, and business representatives, the Data Architect will lead design, implementation, and management of the TrinityBridge data strategy and platform to support business needs and enable the strategic business transformation journey. They will define the data mastering model and establish a data governance framework along with supporting policies and standards. Additionally, they will play a significant role in contributing to, maintaining and communicating TrinityBridge’s technology strategy and roadmaps, and play an active role in technical governance.

Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy
    • Document and define how data is stored, organised, integrated and accessed across core systems and repositories.
    • Define the target state data architecture aligned with business objectives, together with transition states which support and enable the business transformation.
    • Lead definition of current and future data mastering and associated inter‑system flows for client data and other primary data domains.
  • Data Modelling
    • Design and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to ensure data consistency, integrity, and quality.
    • Establish and manage a taxonomy and metadata to enable consistent data mapping and access across the core source platforms.
  • Data Governance
    • Establish a data governance framework defining how key structured and unstructured data is stored, maintained, and managed within TrinityBridge to satisfy data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
    • Establish and maintain a data catalogue through which to document and manage data definitions and lineage.
    • Define and monitor data quality metrics to measure and improve data quality over time.
  • Data Platform Design
    • Lead the design and implementation of the TrinityBridge Snowflake data platform structure, schemas, roles, policies, and standards, ensuring alignment with applicable aspects of the data strategy and data governance framework.
    • Drive appropriate use of Snowflake data shares and the Snowflake marketplace as sources of third‑party data to provide commercial, efficiency and/or security benefits.
    • Ensure the Snowflake data platform provides effective support for the business across reporting, data science and analytics, along with the platform’s role as a central component within the overall systems architecture.
    • Establish data policies across development and test environments, ensuring data access and masking rules are appropriate, aligned with the data governance framework, and applied consistently.
  • Data Platform Governance
    • Establish and run the data platform design authority forum.
    • Work with colleagues within the IT Infrastructure team to monitor and manage Snowflake usage, performance, and credit consumption.
  • Collaboration
    • Provide support for the Technology Leadership Team in strategic IT decisions including selection of data‑related technologies and implementation of AI‑enabled solutions.
    • Provide data and technology thought leadership into the TrinityBridge business transformation agenda and relevant communities of practice.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
    • Facilitate adoption of self‑serve data reporting and analysis across the business through provision of a clear and consistent data platform schema and associated data dictionary.
  • Regulatory Responsibilities & Compliance/T&C
    • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
    • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business.
    • Follow principles and rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the internal requirements set out in the Compliance Manual, local and Group Compliance and Risk policies.

We Would Love To Hear From You

  • Experience migrating and building enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, compliance regulations, and data quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management theory and application.
  • Proven success in data modelling, data warehousing, and implementing data governance processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with the Snowflake data platform and architecture.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools including Power BI.
  • Self‑starter and keen to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations in the financial services domain.
  • Facilitation and collaboration skills, comfortable leading design workshops through to actionable results.

Desirable

  • Financial services experience, ideally within the Wealth Management or Asset Management domains.
  • Proven experience of data integration components within Azure and the wider Microsoft technology environment (ADF, SSIS, SSRS, Purview, etc).
  • TOGAF or similar certification.
