Design Engineer in Worcester

This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and delivery of specialist filtration and strainer equipment used in demanding industries worldwide. Key Responsibilities • Produce detailed designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, including 3D modelling. • Support product development through advanced analysis tools such as FEA and CFD. • Work closely with manufacturing teams on welding, piping, and materials specifications. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and pressure vessel codes (ASME VIII, PD5500). • Collaborate with project managers to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions. • Contribute to documentation, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives. What we are looking for • HNC in Mechanical Engineering (essential). • GCSE Grade 5/C or higher in Maths & English. • Strong AutoCAD skills; SolidWorks & 3D modelling experience desirable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, welding, piping, and materials. • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred. • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). • Professional presentation and reliability. • Initiative, flexibility, and leadership qualities. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
