Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking for a long-term opportunity within a precision engineering environment with every Friday off? We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join a busy manufacturing team in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with strong dimensional and visual inspection experience who takes pride in maintaining high quality standards across precision engineered components.
The Role
- Conduct inspections of outgoing materials, in-process components, and finished products
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines
- Carry out dimensional and visual inspections to first principles
- Analyse inspection and test data to identify defects, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and support corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system development
Requirements
- Previous experience within Quality Assurance or Quality Control in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and vision inspection systems
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to inspect complex features to first principles
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and team working abilities
