Are you an experienced Laser Cutting Operator looking to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment? We are currently recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Cutting Operator to join a well-established production team in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with previous laser cutting experience who takes pride in producing high-quality components while maintaining excellent productivity and safety standards.
The Role:
- Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting machinery
- Produce components in line with engineering drawings and production schedules
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Carry out tooling changes and machine adjustments where required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
- Perform quality inspections using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
- Monitor machine performance and report any production or quality concerns
- Complete production records and paperwork accurately
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance checks
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery within manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Desirable:
- Experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment
- Sheet metal manufacturing experience
- FLT licence or overhead crane experience
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices
Package:
- £24,420 - £28,000 annual salary dependent on experience
- 40-hour working week
- Rotating shift pattern:
- 6am – 2pm
- 2pm – 10pm
- 10pm – 6am
- 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Overtime available paid at enhanced rates:
- 1.5x standard overtime
- 2.0x Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and Bank Holidays
