About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a busy accountancy practice in Newport, Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong practice background to take ownership of accounts and management reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. Hybrid working is available once the qualifying period has been completed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of management accounts and financial statements for a variety of clients
- General accounting duties, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end procedures
- Supporting statutory accounts and tax compliance work
- Preparing management information and reports to help clients make informed business decisions
- Liaising directly with clients and providing support and advice as required
- Contributing to practice processes and helping maintain high standards of client service
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice (ideally 5)
- Strong experience with general accounts and management accounts preparation
- Knowledge of tax compliance (personal, corporate, VAT) is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accountancy qualification
