We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice based in the Telford area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a supportive and professional team. Hybrid working arrangements are available following a qualifying period. Please note: Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working within a practice environment and is confident handling a variety of bookkeeping duties, including VAT returns and assisting with year-end accounts preparation. You will be working with a diverse client base across various sectors, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the continued success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for a range of clients
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Liaise with clients and HMRC as required
- Work closely with the wider team to support day-to-day operations
- Handle ad-hoc duties and respond to client queries professionally
