As a Physics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high‑quality lessons across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. You will support pupils in developing a strong understanding of scientific principles, encouraging curiosity and critical thinking. You will also contribute to the wider life of the School, including extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities within the Science Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality teaching across KS3 Science, GCSE and A Level Physics.
- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that supports pupil progress.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil attainment and development.
- Maintain high expectations of pupil behaviour and academic standards.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and departmental initiatives.
- Support pupils to achieve their individual potential through engaging and differentiated teaching.
- Contribute to the extracurricular programme, including after‑school clubs and activities.
- Participate in school duties, meetings and wider school life.
About You
- Hold a good degree in Physics or a related subject and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE/QTS or equivalent).
- Be able to teach Physics at GCSE and A Level.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School, including extracurricular activities.
