We are currently working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based just outside High Wycombe, to recruit an experienced Senior Account Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, friendly firm at an exciting stage of growth, with a clear and realistic progression path to Account Director and ultimately Practice Manager as the current Directors begin to reduce their hours. The practice is based in beautiful settings and offers a supportive, collaborative environment where senior team members genuinely influence how the firm develops.
The role
- Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients
- Acting as the main client contact and trusted adviser
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax work
- Preparing accounts and tax for more complex clients
- Liaising with HMRC and handling enquiries
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
- Leading client meetings and identifying advisory opportunities
The ideal candidate
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice
- Confident managing client relationships end to end
- Commercially minded with strong communication skills
- Comfortable mentoring staff and working closely with Directors
