An established and highly respected accountancy practice is looking for a Semi Senior Practice Accountant to join its growing team in Horsham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in an accountancy practice who is looking to broaden their technical knowledge, work with a varied portfolio of clients and continue progressing towards a senior role.

Working within a supportive and collaborative environment, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of businesses while developing your expertise across accounts, tax and advisory services.

The Role As a Semi Senior Practice Accountant, you'll work closely with senior team members while managing your own portfolio of clients.

Your responsibilities will include: Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Producing accurate bookkeeping records and VAT returns.

Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.

Preparing personal and corporation tax returns.

Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries and compliance matters.

Liaising directly with clients to build strong working relationships.

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring work is completed to a high professional standard.

Supporting senior colleagues on a variety of accounting and advisory projects.

About You You'll already have experience working within an accountancy practice and be looking to develop your career further.

We're looking for someone who has: Previous practice accountancy experience Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns A good understanding of bookkeeping principles Knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to continue learning Applicants who are AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience are encouraged to apply.
