Our client are a well-established accountancy practice based in Flackwell Heath, part of a growing group of 7 firms across the UK with a developing international footprint including the UAE. Looking for a Practice Manager to join the team and take the lead in running the business of the practice, with a view to eventually succeeding the current directors. A dedicated 1:1 handover period of up to 12 months will ensure a smooth transition.
This is a key leadership role focused on the operational and strategic management of the practice. While client interaction is part of the position, the primary responsibilities are internal—mentoring the team, ensuring smooth operations, managing profitability, and driving innovation and efficiency. You’ll have support from the wider group and the opportunity to help shape the future of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and support existing client managers.
- Review and sign off financial statements.
- Lead the practice’s profitability, operations, and compliance.
- Drive forward key projects, including preparation for MTD for ITSA.
- Oversee monthly/quarterly financial functions for the practice.
- Manage annual reviews, holiday approvals, and training for the team.
- Attend quarterly leadership meetings at our London Head Office.
- Lead client onboarding and AML processes.
- Liaise with suppliers and oversee billing/WIP reporting.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (QBE candidates also considered)
- Strong leadership and operational management experience
- Tech-savvy and enthusiastic about software and automation
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Organised, proactive, and commercially minded
