We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established international business for a Customer Operations & Order Processing Administrator to join their busy Operations team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced product-based environment where accuracy, organisation and customer focus are essential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer orders from receipt through to fulfilment, ensuring customers receive an efficient and professional service while maintaining high levels of accuracy across multiple systems and processes. Due to business demands, our client is looking to appoint someone who is available to start as soon as possible. This is a highly administrative and order-processing focused position, supporting the end-to-end customer order journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing high volumes of customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Managing customer order enquiries and providing updates on order status, pricing and delivery schedules
- Coordinating with Planning, Logistics, Sales and Operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
- Monitoring orders through to completion and resolving any issues that may impact delivery
- Maintaining accurate customer and order records within internal systems
- Ensuring all orders comply with customer requirements and internal procedures
- Handling customer queries professionally via telephone and email
- Updating CRM and operational systems with relevant information
- Investigating and resolving order discrepancies where required
- Supporting continuous improvements to customer service and operational processes
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who thrives in a busy operational environment and enjoys managing large volumes of administration while delivering excellent customer support. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Order Processing, Customer Operations, Sales Administration, Customer Service Administration or Supply Chain Support
- Experience within a product-based business such as manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, engineering, FMCG, consumer goods or similar
- Strong administration and data entry skills
- Experience processing high volumes of customer orders
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience using CRM, ERP or order management systems
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively
