We're delighted to be partnering with a market-leading business to recruit an experienced Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution Manager to lead a high-performing operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading people, improving processes and delivering exceptional service standards.

You'll be responsible for overseeing the movement, control and tracking of valuable equipment, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently and on time. Alongside managing daily operations, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement, developing operational procedures and supporting future business growth. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you'll take ownership of a busy logistics and equipment control function, managing both dispatch and returns operations while leading a team of coordinators and supervisors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team responsible for equipment dispatch, returns and inventory control
  • Managing daily workflow and resource planning to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Ensuring equipment is accurately picked, checked, tracked and dispatched
  • Overseeing returns processes and ensuring equipment is correctly checked back into stock
  • Driving operational efficiency and implementing best-practice processes
  • Managing stock accuracy, order fulfilment and quality control procedures
  • Working closely with sales, account management and distribution teams to coordinate customer deliveries
  • Investigating operational issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Monitoring service levels and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Supporting the creation and implementation of operational procedures and standard operating processes (SOPs)
  • Managing team performance, training, development and employee engagement
  • Conducting performance reviews, return-to-work meetings and other people management activities
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, health and safety procedures and operational standards

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a strong operational leader who can motivate teams, improve processes and drive results. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager, Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager or Equipment Control Manager role
  • Proven experience leading and developing operational teams
  • Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management and distribution processes
  • Experience managing KPIs, service levels and operational performance
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Confidence managing people, performance and employee development
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and operational management systems
