We are partnering with a well-established engineering organisation to recruit a Quality Control Engineer to join their growing team. As Quality Control Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing product quality across the full lifecycle — from supplier evaluation and design input through to production inspection and customer support. You will work closely with engineering, production, procurement, and leadership teams to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures, standards, and methodologies.
    • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable industry regulations.
    • Support and maintain ISO 9001-aligned quality management processes.
  • Inspection & Audit
    • Conduct product inspections and internal audits to identify non-conformities and deviations.
    • Generate accurate inspection reports and maintain detailed quality records.
    • Perform supplier audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead root cause analysis activities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Utilise quality tools such as SPC and FMEA to improve product reliability and process performance.
    • Analyse quality metrics and data to identify trends and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
    • Contribute to design reviews to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and quality.
    • Support customer quality concerns with timely investigations and effective resolutions.
    • Provide training and guidance on quality processes and best practices across the business.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a Quality Control Engineer or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with tools such as SPC, root cause analysis, and FMEA.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with quality data and documentation systems.
