We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established steel company based in Walsall for a Production Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment, involving the handling and processing of steel products. The position will suit someone who is comfortable with physical work and enjoys working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading steel bars into production machinery
- Operating machinery safely and efficiently
- Using overhead cranes to move materials (where authorised)
- Handling steel products throughout the production process
- Carrying out manual handling duties
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within a steel, metal, manufacturing, or production environment is preferred
- Experience handling steel products would be advantageous
- An overhead crane licence would be highly beneficial

Holiday Entitlement

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm
