We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quality, Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of quality systems and health & safety compliance within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring products and services remain consistent, compliant, and aligned with both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

Role Purpose

The Quality, Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation’s Quality Management System and Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with recognised industry standards and current legislation. The role supports continuous improvement across the business while promoting a strong culture of quality and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Quality and Health & Safety functions across the business
  • Develop and maintain systems that ensure compliance with recognised industry standards and relevant legislation
  • Promote the importance of Quality and Health & Safety throughout the organisation
  • Implement and maintain procedures to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure systems remain practical, effective, and embedded in daily operations
  • Coordinate and maintain procedures within the Company Quality Manual aligned to ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001
  • Carry out periodic internal audits to support consistency and compliance
  • Support Production and Purchasing with supplier quality matters
  • Produce and analyse reports relating to product quality performance
  • Oversee investigation and resolution of customer complaints relating to quality
  • Manage Health & Safety compliance across all operational areas
  • Report regularly to the Health & Safety Committee
  • Ensure safe working practices are maintained across all activities
  • Provide support to colleagues and departments where required

Key Requirements

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Broad understanding of Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety responsibilities
  • Experience working with ISO standards (particularly ISO9001 and ISO14001)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work collaboratively across departments
  • Flexible approach with willingness to support wider business needs when required
