Are you an experienced Electrical Draughtsman looking for a role where you can take real ownership of electrical design? We are working with a well-established manufacturer of domestic, commercial and industrial equipment for hot water and steam boiler applications. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join their drawing office team.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will take responsibility for the electrical function within the Drawing Office, ensuring drawings and documentation are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing and issuing electrical drawings to the production department in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant electrical regulations and industry standards.
- Managing and maintaining electrical documentation, ensuring drawings are controlled, stored and updated correctly.
- Creating, compiling and updating Bills of Materials for production.
- Supporting the test engineer with fault finding and resolving design-related issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the electrical design process.
About You
- Previous experience as an Electrical Draughtsman within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems and panel layouts.
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload.
- Comfortable liaising with production and test teams to resolve technical issues.
Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, with early finish Fridays
