We are seeking a reliable and flexible 7.5T Driver to join our team. The successful candidate must be adaptable with start times and willing to undertake a variety of duties including local deliveries, long-distance driving (including Scotland), and on-site shunting when required. This is a varied role suited to a professional driver who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable with changing daily requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle in a safe and professional manner
- Completing local and nationwide deliveries, including trips to Scotland
- On-site vehicle shunting as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed on time
- Maintaining accurate driving and delivery records
- Complying with all transport legislation and company policies
- Providing excellent customer service when representing the company
Requirements
- Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph (Digicard)
- No more than 6 penalty points (for insurance purposes)
- Flexible with start times (early mornings and variable shifts may be required)
- Willingness to work both locally and nationally
- Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations
- Strong reliability and timekeeping
Desirable
- Previous 7.5T driving experience
- Experience with long-distance driving
- Experience with on-site shunting
