We are recruiting for a Trainee/Junior Maintenance Engineer to join a busy industrial manufacturing environment in Cradley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (either to College or University level) and is looking to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced production setting.
You will join a supportive engineering team where guidance, mentoring and further training courses are provided to help you develop your skillset and progress your career long term.
The Role:
- Supporting the maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance
- Assisting with fault finding on machinery and equipment
- Working within a fast-paced production environment
- Supporting continuous improvement activities
- Ensuring machinery downtime is kept to a minimum
- Learning from experienced engineers and developing engineering knowledge
- Working a 2 week shift pattern on 6:30am - 6:30pm working 3 days one week and 4 days the following week
Requirements:
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition qualification required for electrically biased candidates
- Previous experience within an industrial or production environment
- Understanding of fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Willingness to work shifts including weekends
- Keen attitude to learn and develop within engineering
- Must be within a commutable distance to Cradley
