Are you looking for a new Buyer role in the Droitwich area? We have a new opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a successful manufacturing company. The role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials from UK and international suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a key contact in the Purchasing team, buying items ranging from small components to castings and raw materials
- Working from technical drawings
- Sourcing and developing new suppliers
- Identifying and reporting cost savings
- Managing lead times and updating the ERP system
- Managing the MRP system
- Working closely with the shopfloor manager and technical team when required
- Providing cover for other Purchasing team members during holidays
The ideal candidate will
- Have previous purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment
- Be able to work from technical drawings
- Be confident buying a wide range of materials and components
- Have strong communication skills
- Be computer literate with good attention to detail
- Hold a CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential)
Working hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:15am β 4:45pm
Friday: 8:15am β 3:30pm
Salary
Up to Β£30,000
