Are you looking for a new Buyer role in the Droitwich area? We have a new opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a successful manufacturing company. The role involves sourcing and purchasing raw materials from UK and international suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key contact in the Purchasing team, buying items ranging from small components to castings and raw materials
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Sourcing and developing new suppliers
  • Identifying and reporting cost savings
  • Managing lead times and updating the ERP system
  • Managing the MRP system
  • Working closely with the shopfloor manager and technical team when required
  • Providing cover for other Purchasing team members during holidays

The ideal candidate will

  • Have previous purchasing experience in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Be able to work from technical drawings
  • Be confident buying a wide range of materials and components
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be computer literate with good attention to detail
  • Hold a CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential)

Working hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:15am – 4:45pm
Friday: 8:15am – 3:30pm

Salary

Up to Β£30,000
