The Challenge You’ll Tackle:

  • Translate complexity into simplicity by architecting and building a highly performant, intuitive, and data-rich user interface using React and TypeScript.
  • Build a scalable and resilient frontend architecture, co-owning the component design, state management, and overall structure of the frontend.
  • Champion the user experience by working closely with product, design, and backend engineers to ensure every interaction is purposeful.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Within 1 week, you’ll have shipped your first piece of production code.
  • Within 3 months, you’ll have shipped significant, user-facing features.
  • Within 6 months, you’ll be a go-to expert for our frontend architecture, mentoring other engineers.
  • Within 12 months, you’ll have played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of the Dash0 UI.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has extensive experience building complex, data-intensive applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Is deeply familiar with modern frontend practices, including component-based architecture and state management.
  • Loves crafting beautiful, high-performance user interfaces and has a keen eye for detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment where you can make a huge impact.
  • Has experience with testing frameworks and writing well-tested code.
  • Is familiar with consuming RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams.

Must Haves:

  • Ability to apply technical judgment to verify and refine AI output.
  • Strong ownership mindset (Product Engineer vs pure frontend dev).
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally (product, design, backend).
