As a Primary Care Paramedic Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering acute care within the surgery and for our housebound patients in the community. At times it may require assessing the non-housebound who are unable to get to the surgery for reasons of new medical need.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patients
- Manage same-day appointments, and home visits
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals
- Support the management of long-term conditions, frailty, advanced care and RESPECT planning
- Promote health education and prevention
- To treat, as appropriate and within the scope of practice
- To signpost appropriately to other services
- To liaise with Supervising GP on a daily basis
- Assist in maintaining accurate data collection
- Effectively manage own time and workload
- Support and participate in shared learning across the practice
