Overview
Permanent position of up to 25 hrs per week. You will be required to work one weekend in four. Professional registration required. We are looking for a number of clinicians to join Wakefield\’s extended hours service. The service operates 365 days per year, evenings/weekends (Monday to Friday 4pm til 9pm), weekends (Sat 9am til 3pm or 10am til 4pm & Sun/Bank Holidays 9am til 1pm). Weekends are an essential requirement of the role. Please do not apply if you are unable to commit to weekend work (assigned on a rota basis).
- The post holder will be responsible for delivering a remote clinical advice/triage service to GP patients across the whole of Wakefield as part of the extended hours service. Patients will call with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions.
- Provide evidence-based clinical assessment, prioritisation and advice over the telephone within clinical capabilities and competencies.
- The ability to demonstrate a commitment to a high quality service, excellence in clinical practice and continuous professional development is integral to the role and to the development and success of the GP Care Wakefield service.
- We provide support to Wakefield PCN practices ensuring patients receive the best local care at a time that suits them. We run the GP service available outside normal practice working hours through GP Care an out of hours and weekend service across the Wakefield District.
