This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and dynamic team. We are looking for a skilled Lathe Turner to help produce high-quality parts in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment and be part of a collaborative team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Interpret 2D drawings, specifications, and route card instructions. * Plan and determine machining methods, tools, speeds, feeds, and setups. * Perform dimensional inspection and layout “mark off” prior to machining. * Operate machines manually and perform basic programming using Siemens controls. * Inspect components during machining and adjust as needed to meet quality standards. * Deburr components and ensure they are safe for material movement. * Use overhead cranes (LOLER training provided). * Follow health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. * Perform other tasks as requested by team leader or manager, within capabilities and safety guidelines. Hours: Weekly rotating shift: Monday-Friday (06:00 -14:00 working 14:00 – 22:00 the following week) REQUIREMENTS: * Min 2 years’ experience in manual lathe turning &/or deep hole boring. (large scale machines preferred) * The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. * Lifting and slinging capabilities. * A full understanding of Health & Safety and the capability to work safely in a heavy engineering environment. * The capability to understand and follow basic CNC programs (Knowledge/experience of Siemens language preferred)
