We are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a busy and established operation within the oil industry.

This is a permanent, hands-on position combining stock control, FLT duties, computer-based administration and basic machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining accurate stock levels across the site.
  • Receiving, checking and putting away incoming materials and products.
  • Picking and preparing stock for production and dispatch.
  • Operating Counterbalance FLT to move materials safely around the site.
  • Loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Updating stock records and inventory systems using computer software.
  • Carrying out regular stock checks and assisting with stocktakes.
  • Identifying discrepancies and reporting any stock issues.
  • Carrying out basic machine operating duties following full training.
  • Ensuring materials are stored safely and correctly.
  • Following all company health, safety and environmental procedures, particularly those relevant to the oil industry.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in stock control, stores, warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and practical FLT experience.
  • Good computer literacy and confidence using stock control systems.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, stock records and paperwork.
  • Previous experience operating machinery would be advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
  • Previous experience within the oil, chemical, engineering or manufacturing industry would be beneficial, but is not essential.
