This role involves fabric cutting in a manufacturing environment, producing accurately cut components for a range of seating products. The successful candidate will work from job sheets and patterns to support sewing and assembly operations while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

  • Cutting seat and back components for operator, task, reception, booth, and conference seating
  • Working from job sheets to ensure correct fabrics and patterns are used at all times
  • Positioning patterns efficiently to achieve correct meterage and minimise material waste
  • Clearly marking cut fabric to support accurate sewing and assembly
  • Producing sufficient cut fabric to keep sewing operations running smoothly
  • Maintaining safe use of cutting knives and scissors and reporting any safety concerns
  • Following health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
