This role involves fabric cutting in a manufacturing environment, producing accurately cut components for a range of seating products. The successful candidate will work from job sheets and patterns to support sewing and assembly operations while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safe working practices.
Responsibilities
- Cutting seat and back components for operator, task, reception, booth, and conference seating
- Working from job sheets to ensure correct fabrics and patterns are used at all times
- Positioning patterns efficiently to achieve correct meterage and minimise material waste
- Clearly marking cut fabric to support accurate sewing and assembly
- Producing sufficient cut fabric to keep sewing operations running smoothly
- Maintaining safe use of cutting knives and scissors and reporting any safety concerns
- Following health and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment
