The Engineered Timber Operative is responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery used in the production of engineered timber products. The role supports the wider production process by ensuring that all products are manufactured to the required quality, quantity, and deadlines while following operational, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production
  • Operates engineered timber production equipment in line with schedules and established standards.
  • Maintains steady production levels while minimising waste and downtime.
  • Supports continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance workflow and efficiency.
  • Takes part in relevant training and assists in the training of others when required.
  • Carries out reasonable tasks as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Health & Safety
    • Follows all health and safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.
    • Reports accidents, incidents, or equipment misuse immediately.
    • Maintains a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Quality
    • Works to specified tolerances and customer requirements to maintain consistent product quality.
    • Minimises rejects and completes all required documentation accurately.
