We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Wolverhampton for an experienced Capstan Setter to join their busy and established manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable day-shift role within a well-respected company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating capstan lathes to manufacture components to specification.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Selecting and changing tooling as required.
- Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
- Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Requirements:
- Previous experience setting and operating capstan lathes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
- Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
