In this role, a Team Member will be responsible for reviewing the General Ledger (GL) and preparing journal entries. In addition, they will perform monthly reconciliations, analyse variances, and file miscellaneous taxes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review GL accounts and prepare necessary journal entries
- Perform account analysis
- Reconcile and balance GL accounts
- Research and correct account discrepancies
- Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals
- Prepare summary of findings to be reviewed by senior staff
- Assist with year-end financial audits
- Prepare and file Sales/Use, Gross Receipt, and other miscellaneous taxes
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Accounting Software, such as Lawson, NetSuite, PeachTree, etc.
- Ability to remain calm and focused with prioritising requests from multiple sources
- Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company information
- Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely when relaying technical accounting and finance information
- Knowledge of computer software and applications
- Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer, including possible overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel (minimal, < 10%)

This job operates in a physical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands, arms and fingers to handle and lift objects up to 10 pounds.
