We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. Trinity Life Sciences is seeking an Engagement Manager to join the emerging and quickly expanding Competitive Intelligence COE. The Competitive Intelligence COE is responsible for Trinity’s competitive intelligence offerings including ongoing market monitoring, rapid response programs, congress coverage and support, strategic implications workshops, dashboard development and maintenance, and ad-hoc projects. This is a mid-level management position with a remit to support the development and growth of the COE through a strong and collaborative partnership with COE leadership. You will have a client-facing role with responsibility for end-to-end project leadership and business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of competitive intelligence projects including initial setup, data gathering, analysis and strategic synthesis.
- Act as primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, taking ownership for creating a strong and enduring relationship built on trust.
- Lead the creation and implementation of client workshops when included in the project deliverables.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed to exceed client expectations and according to scope.
- Organize work and manage timelines, overseeing assigned clients, projects, and deliverables.
- Monitor budgets against revenue targets and support achievement of COE goals.
- Collaborate with CI and cross-functional leadership to ensure alignment across workstreams and continuity of support between CI offerings and other Trinity engagements.
Insight Generation
- Drive analysis and story development / “so-what” for our clients.
- Deliver and present competitive intelligence content to clients in a compelling way, facilitating discussion and continued exploration of what we can do to better position our clients’ products for success.
- Cover key conferences, attend key sessions, and perform high-quality human-source elicitation in an ethical manner.
People Management
- Train and manage junior staff across projects, including CI-focused team members and cross-functional staff supporting CI.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for CI methodology and best practices across Trinity to train and upskill team members across all roles.
Business Development
- Collaborate with client teams in Strategic Advisory to mine for opportunities and execute and track follow ups.
- Identify sales opportunities with existing clients as appropriate.
- Aid in proposal development and competitive intelligence program design.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, consulting, or other relevant areas within the life sciences industry.
- Other Skills:
- Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a dynamic, team-based environment, managing junior staff and communicating effectively with senior level staff.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Well versed in pharmaceutical industry including global healthcare systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of relational databases is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data visualization and slide development skills.
- Excellent strategic synthesis skills.
- Solid business acumen and marketing orientation.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and go-getter mentality.
- Accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail; ability to sort data through various data sources.
- Curious mindset, always asking what’s next and challenging the competitive situation.
- Oncology experience is preferred.
