We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You will support production teams by carrying out inspections, monitoring process compliance, maintaining the Quality Management System and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections of products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and verify compliance with approved specifications.
- Monitor product quality, defect levels, reject rates and scrap, reporting trends and concerns promptly.
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support containment and corrective actions.
- Support process control across mixing, pressing and firing operations.
- Participate in internal ISO 9001 audits and maintain compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Ensure inspection and testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Assist with investigations into customer complaints, internal quality issues and root cause analysis.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
