We are seeking an Electrical Test / Fault-Finding Technician with strong practical experience in industrial machinery and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of motors, pumps, fans, and associated control equipment, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing, inspection, and fault-finding on industrial machinery and associated equipment.
- Work with electrical components such as motors, contactors, overloads, pressure switches, transducers, VSDs, thermostats, heaters, and potentiometers.
- Diagnose issues on equipment operating at varying voltages and frequencies.
- Use schematic panel wiring drawings to support testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in resolving mechanical and electrical issues during assembly or commissioning.
- (If experienced) support testing and diagnostics of gas, oil, or fuel-powered equipment including generators, CHP systems, or diesel engines.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery and electrical equipment (motors, contactors, overloads, pumps, fans, etc.).
- Proven fault-finding capability, either in a workshop test environment or on-site.
- Hands-on electrical experience with low-voltage control systems and industrial components.
- Knowledge of basic component function: pressure switches, transducers, variable speed drives (VSD), thermostats, heaters, and potentiometers.
- Awareness of different electrical voltages and frequencies used in industrial applications.
- Ability to read and work from schematic panel wiring drawings.
- Desirable: experience with gas/oil/fuel systems, generators, CHP units, or diesel engines.
