We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role will involve operating machinery within an injection moulding environment, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing role involving hot, fast and repetitive production processes. Full training will be provided on the company’s specific processes and equipment; however, previous machine operating experience is essential, ideally within an injection moulding or similar manufacturing environment.

You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production process while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate production machinery within an injection moulding environment.
  • Meet production and quality targets to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain consistently high standards of product quality and customer service.
  • Follow all quality procedures and production standards.
  • Monitor machinery and production processes, identifying and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Report machinery breakdowns to the Maintenance Department and support effective resolution to minimise downtime.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  • Work effectively within a fast-paced production environment where tasks may be hot, repetitive and physically demanding.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability, efficiency and production performance.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve production and business objectives.
  • Uphold and promote the company’s values and standards at all times.

About You

The successful candidate will have previous machine operating experience and be comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment. Experience of injection moulding would be highly advantageous.

You will need to be reliable, safety-conscious and able to maintain concentration and high standards while carrying out repetitive production tasks. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in injection moulding.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working to production and quality targets.
  • Experience operating industrial machinery or production equipment.

Training

Full training will be provided on the company’s machinery, processes and procedures. Previous machine operating experience is required, but candidates do not need to have worked on the company’s specific equipment before.

Working Hours

This is a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern:

  • 2 weeks on days: 6:30am – 6:30pm
  • 2 weeks on nights: 6:30pm – 6:30am
  • The shift pattern then repeats.

Please note that this is a 12-hour shift pattern and the role involves working within a hot, fast-paced and repetitive manufacturing environment.
