The Vacancy
Join Trinity House and help shape the future of maritime services through digital transformation.
As the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar, Trinity House plays a vital role in safeguarding shipping and supporting seafarers around our coastline.
We are currently delivering an ambitious Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Transformation Programme, modernising systems, improving ways of working and building the digital capability needed to support the organisation into the future.
We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Officer to join the Triton Programme Office and play a key role in supporting one of the organisation's largest transformation programmes.
About The Role
Working closely with the Digital Transformation Lead, Programme Managers and wider delivery team, you will provide essential coordination and administrative support across a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will help coordinate meetings and workshops, prepare agendas and minutes, maintain programme documentation and action trackers, support governance processes, and assist with programme reporting. You will also support engagement activities, training events and supplier coordination, ensuring that information is accurate, organised and readily available.
The programme spans a range of exciting areas including digital transformation, Microsoft 365, data, artificial intelligence, process improvement and organisational change, providing an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience while contributing to meaningful organisational improvements.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone with experience providing administrative or project support within a project, programme or operational environment. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities effectively and confident working with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to produce accurate documentation, maintain records and trackers, and organise meetings and events efficiently. You will have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
Experience of working within a Programme Management Office (PMO), supporting governance activities or using recognised project management methodologies would be advantageous. Relevant qualifications such as PRINCE2 Foundation, project administration, business administration or Microsoft 365 certifications are desirable but not essential.
What We Can Offer
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation programme within a unique and historic organisation. In return, we offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, opportunities for professional development and the chance to gain valuable experience across a wide range of digital and organisational change initiatives while helping to support Trinity House's important mission.
