We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our field operations team as a Lighthouse Maintenance Engineer (Civil) to oversee the maintenance of specific elements within the Trinity House lighthouse estate ensuring they meet the required standards.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in drafting contract specifications and negotiating cost-effective contracts for civil maintenance. You\’ll evaluate contractors\’ technical suitability for Trinity House civil projects and guarantee compliance with CDM guidelines for all estate-related work. Additionally, you\’ll act as the Trinity House Client, overseeing on-site contractors to ensure work aligns with agreed-upon standards and maintains high quality.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the UK\’s vital maritime safety assets while working alongside experienced engineers, technicians, and maritime professionals.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Skills and Experience
– A good level of experience in a civil/building maintenance role.
– An appropriate level of practical training in a building related trade enabling a good understanding of construction techniques and practices.
– A thorough working knowledge of the HSE requirements as relating to the construction and building industries.
– An understanding of building inspections/surveys leading to specification and cost estimation.

Qualifications
– A level 3 qualification in building construction/maintenance or related technical discipline.
– Full Driving Licence
