Permanent – Swansea – £27,500.00 – 29,147.00 per annum (starting salary range). 37 hours per week. Trinity House works for the benefit and safety of all mariners as a General Lighthouse Authority and maritime charity. We're looking for a proactive individual to join our Buoy Yard team, working under the supervision of the Buoy Yard Supervisor. Duties include:
- General labour
- Water jetting
- Driving
- Assembly
- Slinging
- Station attendance
- Minor building maintenance
All duties are to be performed in accordance with health and safety policies and relevant laws. There will be occasional opportunities to work on lighthouses as part of our technical team, presenting a potential career path. We strongly encourage and support both formal and informal learning and development.
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar industrial role
- An appropriate level of practical training
- Full driving licence
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety in a similar environment
- Ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedure
- Ability to work away from home across the Lighthouse estate as part of a remote team
Qualifications:
- Good written English and Maths skills
- Good understanding of IT
