We are recruiting for an Interim Compliance Officer to join a well-established educational organisation in the Black Country. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in strengthening compliance processes and supporting the delivery of a business-critical improvement plan following a recent audit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support compliance improvement initiatives across training and education programmes.
  • Implement and monitor action plans arising from audit findings.
  • Work closely with external auditors, assessors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance requirements are met.
  • Review and strengthen compliance processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and audit documentation.
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive information within both paper-based and digital systems.
  • Prepare evidence and documentation for future inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and promote best practice across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Compliance Officer, Quality Assurance, Audit, Governance, or Regulatory Compliance role.
  • Previous experience within the education, training, apprenticeship, further education (FE), or learning and development sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of audit processes, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results within tight timescales.
  • Comfortable managing both paper-based and electronic record systems.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to undergo DBS checks.
