Overview

VP of Financial Reporting – Location: Midlands (Hybrid)

Trinity House Group are working with a Fortune 500 business to join their International Finance Function as the VP of Financial Reporting, a pivotal role within the International Accounting Advisory Team.

As the VP of Financial Reporting, you’ll lead technical accounting excellence for their international operations, acting as the go to Advisor. You’ll oversee financial reporting, drive control and audit activities, support M&A structuring, and integration, and continue the transition to dual-GAAP reporting systems.

This role demands clear communication, strong analytical skills, and the ability to simplify complexity across global finance teams. You’ll also pioneer process improvements, deliver enhanced training, and shape policy changes, all while building key relationships across diverse functions and regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial outputs in the international division align with Group’s policies under IFRS and US GAAP, and support ad-hoc technical queries from stakeholders across Operations, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Group Reporting.
  • Partner with regional finance teams to translate complex accounting challenges into practical, compliant solutions.
  • Working closely with Strategy & Development and Tax to support M&A activities including structuring, integration, and reporting.
  • Oversee group reporting, local statutory audits, and help streamline reporting processes across divisions.
  • Partner closely with regional Strategy & Development teams to structure and account for acquisitions/divestments, from due diligence to integration.
  • Serve as project lead alongside Internal Control, Risk, and Finance teams for external audit coordination; drive system-based monitoring of reporting deadlines and streamline local audit processes.

Qualifications

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • A solid expertise in financial accounting and IFRS; exposure to US GAAP is a strong advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting for acquisitions and divestments.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with international, senior level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to write technical accounting memos and adapt your communication style depending on your audience’s level of understanding.

Experience & Education

You will have:
