Are you an experienced Payroll and HR Operations professional with TUPE and due diligence experience?

Trinity House Group is recruiting an Interim Payroll & HR Operations Specialist for a well established multi academy trust based in Tamworth, supporting a major school rebrokering programme across the West Midlands.

About the role This is a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator, HR Operations Specialist or TUPE Consultant to join a busy education trust during a period of significant organisational change.

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will provide operational continuity across payroll administration and HR due diligence as schools transfer to new trusts.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the HR Operations Manager with the HR operational delivery of school rebrokering projects.
  • Managing and validating Employee Liability Information (ELI) as part of the TUPE due diligence process.
  • Reviewing and documenting HR and payroll processes to support consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with HR, Payroll, Finance and the external payroll provider to ensure accurate employee data and seamless payroll transitions.
  • Supporting payroll administration, including contractual changes, pensions, statutory payments and employee data validation.
  • Ensuring HR documentation, contracts and compliance checks are completed accurately and in line with employment legislation.
  • Producing clear process documentation, standard operating procedures and handover materials.
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance and schools to support project milestones.
  • What we are looking for
  • Proven HR Operations experience with strong payroll administration knowledge.
  • Previous involvement in TUPE transfers, organisational change, mergers, acquisitions or school rebrokering projects.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing Employee Liability Information (ELI) and supporting HR due diligence.
  • Strong process mapping and documentation skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting a busy operational manager.
  • Confident working across multiple stakeholders in a fast paced, project focused environment.
  • Experience within education, the public sector or a multi site organisation would be advantageous.
