This is a rare opportunity for a qualified (or finalist) Management Accountant to step into a role offering autonomy, and unparalleled development opportunities.

You’ll join a high calibre finance function, manage a team and play a central part in delivering accurate, insightful reporting every month. This would suit someone who enjoys coaching others, thrives in a dynamic environment and wants exposure to senior stakeholders in a highly acquisitive, growing business.

  • Line‑manage a small team with day‑to‑day support, guidance and performance management.
  • Work closely with senior leaders, including C‑suite.
  • Present performance insights and prepare information proactively ahead of key conversations.
  • Prepare & review forecasts.
  • Support the annual budget cycle with structured analysis and challenge.
  • Build relationships with operational stakeholders, providing clear, actionable financial insight.
  • Review packs, journals and forecasts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Act as the go‑to escalation point for technical queries and process challenges.
  • Support the growth and development of junior colleagues, promoting high standards across the team.
  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of management accounts — P&L, commentary, variance analysis and supporting files.
  • Ensure a smooth, well‑controlled month‑end alongside the wider team.
  • Maintain high‑quality, audit‑ready working papers.
  • Identify inefficiencies and help refine processes within the management accounts function.
  • Own specific technical areas such as reconciliations, recharges or payroll journals.

About You:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong P&L and balance sheet understanding.
  • Demonstrable experience driving improvements across a finance function.
  • Confident communicator who’s comfortable with both finance and non‑finance teams.
  • Strong Excel skills; Power Query or VBA is a bonus.
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of others.
