Trinity House Group is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Finance Administrator to join their established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused finance professional looking to develop their career within a varied role that offers exposure to financial accounting, reporting, accounts payable, treasury and compliance activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain supplier accounts and records.
  • Manage the employee expenses process and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Support month-end activities, including journal postings, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly KPI reports for senior finance stakeholders.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing, reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Maintain accounting records within Sage for designated business areas.
  • Support daily bank postings and treasury-related activities.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support month-end and year-end requirements.
  • Complete and submit Office for National Statistics (ONS) surveys.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly VAT returns.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider finance team as required.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience working within a finance, accounting or financial administration role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
  • Experience using Sage accounting software.
  • Exposure to month-end accounting activities.
  • Knowledge of VAT returns, treasury processes or audit support.
  • Experience working within an Accounts Payable function.
