To support this journey, we are seeking a highly experienced Head of Financial Reporting to lead on financial governance and ensure the integrity of our financial performance reporting.The RoleAs Head of Financial Reporting, you will take overall responsibility for the organisation’s statutory reporting, financial controls, and technical accounting compliance. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and senior leadership team, you will provide assurance to the Board and external stakeholders, ensuring robust reporting processes that support transparency and informed decision-making.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee financial controls, risk management processes, and audit liaison.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, systems, and timeliness.
  • Manage and develop the financial reporting team, building capability and resilience.
  • Partner with senior leaders to provide clear financial insights, enabling effective strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, legislation, and sector-specific requirements.

About YouYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with extensive experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts preparation. You will have a proven track record of leading finance teams in complex organisations, ideally within the people services, not-for-profit, or regulated sector.In addition, you will bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • A proactive and collaborative leadership style.
  • A focus on continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes.
