We are partnering with a large, listed organisation to appoint a Finance Director – Technology into a strategically critical leadership role. This appointment sits at the centre of a multi-year technology and transformation agenda and offers the opportunity to shape how significant capital is invested, governed, and translated into long-term value across a complex global business.
The Finance Director – Technology will provide senior financial leadership across the organisation’s global technology estate. The role spans large-scale technology CAPEX and P&L oversight, including infrastructure investment, M&A technology integration, and a major ERP consolidation programme running over several years. This is not a reporting role. It is a commercially focused, forward-looking position, partnering closely with Technology, Operations, and senior leadership to ensure disciplined investment, strong financial governance, and clear returns on capital.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial strategy and oversight for significant technology investment and spend
- Own business case development, financial modelling, and ROI tracking for major programmes
- Establish robust financial governance for complex, multi-year initiatives (ERP, infrastructure, digital platforms)
- Drive cost transformation and optimisation across vendors, licensing, cloud, and infrastructure
- Act as a senior finance partner to Technology leadership and broader global stakeholders
- Provide clear, confident financial insight to executive and senior leadership audiences
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with substantial post-qualification experience
- Proven track record supporting large-scale technology, transformation, or infrastructure programmes
- Strong commercial and financial modelling capability for complex CAPEX decisions
- Deep understanding of technology cost drivers including licensing, cloud, infrastructure and vendor management
- Experience operating in large, complex, multi-site organisations, ideally within a listed or similarly sophisticated environment
- Gravitas, judgement, and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders in a global setting
