A well-established, high-growth foodservice and distribution business is looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager – Operations to business partner their Operations Director and leadership team across multiple sites. This is a genuinely commercial finance role, not a back office one. You'll be the key link between Operations and Finance, providing the analysis, governance and challenge that drives performance across the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Business partnering the Operations Director and senior operational team, translating financial performance into commercial insight they can act on
- Owning weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, KPIs, variance analysis and commentary
- Leading annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with operational stakeholders to secure buy in
- Building business cases and capital expenditure proposals to support investment decisions
- Taking ownership of the P&L for operational sites, working closely with the Management Accounts team
- Supporting the external audit process and contributing to the statutory accounts
- Identifying cost efficiencies and process improvements that drive profitability
What we're looking for:
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or qualified by experience in a similar role)
- Experience in a fast-paced FMCG, foodservice, distribution or logistics environment
- Strong background in management accounts and commercial finance
- Confident building business cases and capital proposals
- Comfortable working across multiple sites, with national travel as part of the role
- Strong Excel skills; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus
- A natural communicator who can build relationships and influence at all levels
