We’re partnering with one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses in Birmingham to appoint an experienced In-House Senior Tax Lead. This is a broad, high-impact role covering both corporate tax and VAT, offering strong visibility across the finance function and wider business. This is a newly created role after multiple acquisitions have been made in the last 12 months.
The Role
You’ll support the group’s tax position, ensuring compliance while supporting strategic decision-making. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in managing risk, improving processes, and driving efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead corporate tax compliance, reporting, and forecasting
- Oversee VAT across the group, including risk management and advisory
- Act as the main point of contact for HMRC and external advisors
- Support tax aspects of commercial projects and transactions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and tax efficiencies
- Keep up to date with legislative changes and assess business impact
About You
- Qualified tax professional (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent)
- Strong experience across corporate tax and VAT
- Background in practice or industry
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
