A private equity backed group of businesses that genuinely make a difference is looking for a Group Finance Manager to join a growing finance function at an exciting point in its journey. This is a business people are proud to work for. It has grown through a strong run of acquisitions under a highly engaged private equity partner, and the leadership team behind it are known for being present, approachable and genuinely invested in their people, not just the numbers. It is the kind of place where you will get exposure right across the group rather than sitting in one narrow lane.

The Role

This is a broad group finance role sitting at the heart of how the business reports, consolidates and controls its numbers month to month. Core focus areas include group reporting and consolidation, month end close for group entities, and management reporting packs used across the leadership team. You will also play a part in integrating newly acquired businesses into group processes and systems, a natural extension of working within an actively acquisitive group. There is a genuine path here to build out FP&A exposure over time, working alongside financial modelling and group planning activity as the function continues to develop. A hands-on role. Alongside the reporting and consolidation work, there is a smaller but important element of rolling your sleeves up, including elements of invoicing and supplier due diligence. It suits someone who is comfortable moving between higher level group work and getting into the detail when needed.

What We Are Looking For

You will be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with a solid grounding in consolidation accounting and UK GAAP or FRS 102. Strong Excel skills are important, as is a genuine can-do attitude and comfort working to tight deadlines in a business that moves quickly. This role would suit someone looking to broaden their group exposure within a private equity backed environment, ideally with some prior experience of month end, reporting or audit.

Why This One

Genuine private equity backing with an active growth strategy, a mission led business that people believe in, a leadership team who lead by example rather than from a distance, and a role that offers real variety day to day alongside a credible path toward broader FP&A involvement.
